MathRider is a nice educational application for kids that allows them to have fun with a horse while they improve their math skills. The kids can select between any of the available operations to practice (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and the desired difficulty level (easy, medium, advanced and master). In every quest you take, you will be told a nice story, in which you will know what to do to win the game. The quests involve a series of math questions in which you will have to type the answer, and if the answer is correct, your horse will ride faster and faster. The faster you are, the more rewards you will get when the quest ends. With every right answer, the horse will jump obstacles or simply run, but if the answer provided is wrong your horse will slow down considerably.
The program also includes a practice mode in which the kid can select the operation desired, number range, number of questions, and race mode (obstacle course and time challenge). The application includes an attractive user interface, with cute graphics, simple sounds and suitable music.
